Civics is a non-partisan bot whose goal is to collect all data related to politics - including historic and current elections, polling data, forecasts, candidate/party information, and more, and present it in an easy to consume manner. While the bot is mainly focused on US elections, it also provides data for international elections. For political or election junkies, this bot is a must have!

Civics’ goal is to present current and eventually all historic election data from everywhere. Keep track of the results of an election with Civics, or view historic data such as every US presidential election from 1789 to 2020.

📈 Keep track of Joe Biden’s National Approval Rating

Civics allows users to keep track of Joe Biden’s approval rating across the US, using a diverse variety of sources which collect dozens of polls to calculate the average. Soon, we will also be adding the ability to view state-by-state matchup polls.

We collect prediction maps from 14 different sources which predict who will win the 2024 US presidential election.

🎮 Run a simulator game!

Civics also comes with a fun simulator game that will simulate the 2024 US presidential election (and more!), with tons of options such as adding a third party candidate, changing the candidates, increasing/decreasing their odds of winning, and more. Want to create a Biden/Trump landslide? Want to change history and see how you’d fare in the 1864 election? How about taking on Kim-Jong Un as the next leader of North Korea? It’s all possible with Civics!

Command List

/election (election) (option) – View the results of an ongoing election! Depending on the election, some options might be available such as viewing a states results.\nThis command might be unavailable if no elections are ongoing.

Examples: /election republican_primary state:NH – view the current results for the Republican Primary in New Hampshire /election democratic_primary – view the current results of the Democratic Party primary with a big map

/help (command) - Get help with a command. If no command is specified, bot stats will be displayed instead.

Example: /help command:help – view the help for the help command.

/historic (election) - View the results of a historic election. As of right now, this only supports historic US presidential results, but more are planned to be added.

Example: /historic us_presidential year:2020 – view the results of the 2020 US presidential election

/polls (type) (source) – View the latest polls. As of right now, this only supports viewing Joe Biden’s National Approval Rating, but more will be added soon.

Example: /polls approval_rating source:FiveThirtyEight – view Joe Biden’s national approval rating, according to FiveThirtyEight

/predictions (source) – View current predictions/forecasts for the 2024 US Presidential Election. Has 14 different sources and is updated frequently.

/simulate election (year) (candidate) (bias) - Runs a simulation of an election with an optional third party candidate. You can also adjust each candidate’s biases and give them a higher (or lower) chance of winning. Supports 1789, 1848, 1860, 1864, 1940, 1968, and 2024 US presidential elections, as well as modern North Korean and Taiwan elections.

Examples: /simulate election 2024 - simulate an election between Biden and Trump /simulate election 2024 add_candidate:John Smith with_party:Smith Party with_color:#AAA with_odds:0.7 - simulate an election between Biden, Trump, and a candidate named “John Smith” who has high odds of winning states. /simulate election 2024 republican_bias:-5 - Biden landslide /simulate election 2024 democratic_bias:-5 - Trump landslide /simulate election 1968 - See what could’ve been in the 1968 election. /simulate election nk2019 add_candidate:John Smith with_party:Smith Party with_color:#AAA with_odds:1 - Take on Kim-Jong Un with your very own candidate!
